Many people are always looking for ways to improve their garden and one of the best ways to do this is by using manure as it will feed the area. One of the key things to remember when laying manure is to not put it down where there is budding or brand new shoots as this has the potential to burn them. Buying is now been made very easy due to garden centres and supermarkets selling it. One of the tops tips you can get is to buy manure early and store it for a year before you plan to use however make sure you keep them in an area where they are protected from the weather. It is vital to store the manure for a year before use as this will make sure that the chemicals, fatteners, hormones, herbicides and of course insecticides are leached out before it is lay down in your garden.
There are different variations of manure however the one which is most readily used is cow manure, for those that are lucky enough to live near a farm then there is the possibility you could get it for no cost at all however do bear in mind that this type of manure does not have a large amount of nutrients so you will have to compensate for this by using more. Using the cow manure will provide a very good level of fertility throughout the seasons that it readily grows and will absorb and retain water well.
